Dùng dụng cụ bào, bào vỏ của 3 quả chanh sau đó cho vào một cái chảo, vắt nước cốt chanh vào rồi cho thêm đường vào hòa chung.
Khuấy cho hỗn hợp đồng nhất rồi đun sôi. Khi hỗn hợp sôi thì đun nhỏ lửa khoảng 5 phút cho hỗn hợp hơi sánh rồi tắt bếp. Tiếp đó đổ nước lạnh vào hòa chung sau đó cho toàn bộ hỗn hợp ra khay làm đá.
Đóng nắp khay cho vào ngăn đá của tủ lạnh khoảng 1 đến 2 giờ cho hỗn hợp đông lại sau đó lấy khay ra khỏi tủ lạnh. Dùng một cái thìa hoặc dĩa cạo hỗn hợp đã đóng đá. Sau đó lại để vào tủ lạnh khoảng 1 giờ thì lại cạo và đánh tơi đá kết tinh là xong.
